They are very bright, with projection lenses, and fully weatherproof. I can’t give you an exact comparison, but I use both in the valence on my indoor railroad, and the sign service modules spaced about a foot apart are much brighter than the same length of warm-whites on a strip. Downside is that they are very cold at 6500K.
The ones in my junk box are much more recent than those I used years ago building the camera car…
