This is still “cast in concrete”.

Just so others don’t have to scroll back - The dates are May 15 -16 9AM-??

9 AM! Holy Cr*p, Andy C. doesn’t get up that early. Is there a second shift?

Just letting people know when they can show up.

By the time the BS session is over it’ll be closer to 10 AM. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I suspect “jello” might be more appropriate…or sand. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Hey Ken or Ric -

What is the name of that campground over by the Brandywine River? I’m hoping I can have Arvy on the road in time - I should make a reservation.

Jon, Look under West Chester KOA.

Another one Ric stayed at was the Lancaster KOA. He liked this one more because it was easier to get to.

Both are within a half hour drive from me.

Thanks Ken. West Chester looks significantly closer, but Lancaster is near all the Rt 30 touristy stuff.

Jon,

Ken gave you the info on both campgrounds. Both campgrounds are very nice. The Lancaster campground was more comfortable for us with the Seneca. Some of the roads around the Brandywine were “exciting” and shall we say, they had a certain “pucker factor” for a vehicle our size. Got in there and out of there twice, without damage. Beautiful area. We stayed an extra day at the Lancaster location, because we needed to go that way to get to the Turnpike, anyway. Jan’s interest in the shops of Lancaster, also impacts our/her decisions. She let’s me play with trains. I work to keep her happy. @Ric - I know the area and completely understand. When we were stayed in West Chester we took the back way (926) to Ken’s which put us just a few miles South of the West Chester KOA. It’s a long way off the main road.

Assuming you are bringing the Seneca, have you made reservations in Lancaster? If you haven’t, do it now. Place is almost full already!

EDIT to add: Based on both location and the look of the sites, we chose Lancaster. Rates were better too! The route to get there is nearly identical to my old route to York except the last 10 or 20 miles. We will probably be in the “Upper Circle” back-in sites.

Am on a couple of lists for the covid vaccination… If Jane & I get the shots, we

plan on attending… Been a few years since we’ve been back there… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Yes, we have made our reservations and encouraged Roger and Susie Caiazza to do the same. Plans are to arrive Thursday and leave Monday. I will say, we did this after seeing that you made the reservations, and realizing it is only about 7 weeks away. There were only about 4 sites left that would handle our unit. It is in the teared southern view area and is a back in site. May have to find a spot to park the pickup, when we are at the site, but there is usually room somewhere around the campground.

Hmmm… I did Fri-Sun nights. Marilyn and I both are scheduled to work Thursday, but I’ll look into seeing if she can get one more day off. I’m still doing the COVID Semi-Retirement thing of T-W-Th mornings only.

Whatever works, it will be great to see you. Roger texted that he also got reservations.

One month to go.

Well, I’ve made OUR reservations. Looking forward to seeing everybody! (And running some trains!!!)

I have a few things destined for the trash at work that may be of interest and can be delivered to Ken’s in a few weeks…

Short sections of PVC posts. Most about 4x4x12" Most white, a few painted black and a few 5x5 about 24". Can be used to make equipment sheds, etc.

Small collection of air solenoids, valves and regulators. These came out of a flat bed printer we scrapped a few years ago. The valves are DC operated I need to check the voltage on Monday. Air solenoids are heavy duty with a fairly long throw. The regulators include a moisture trap.

All of the above is, of course, free.

I won’t be bringing any scrap acrylic, PVC board, or anything else unless specifically requested.

Rooster has reported this post to the moderator: Jon said acrylic

I’m coming up Saturday, Lord willin’, and am getting excited! Though it’ll be less than a 2-hour drive, It’ll be by far my biggest trip since February of 2020, woo hoo!

Jon, acrylic scrap would be very welcome, but only if you’re in the mood to haul it… (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
