Ray-

Now you can take the drone with you on your next research trip into the desert. You can get 360 photos of buildings. I’ve seen guys who get great close up photos of a rail car or engine from all angles including the roof. Makes for great reference photos.

Yes, exactly! Plus I’ll be able to get good close shots of inaccessible things, like the top of headframes, or mines that are way up on a cliff, etc.

Out here it would helpful to know if there is a bandito around the next rock!

I never really realized how deep your railroad goes into the scenery, if I wasn’t already, I’d be pretty amazed!

Thanks,

John

Quick update, on the Revolution, go to menu #6 “RF CONFIGURATION” and then “RF-CHANNEL[CH:XX]”

You can select channel from 12 to 26.

here’s a list of the channels and their frequencies:

http://www.rfwireless-world.com/Terminology/zigbee-channels.html

So the Revolution has the ability to change channels to avoid other systems.

If you don’t have any information your Drone’s channel, then I’d try 12 and then 26 (opposite ends)

Also note that Zigbee and Wi-Fi can overlap, so you might plan your wifi and zigbee:

Thanks Greg, I’ll give that a try next time. It’ll be a while though – right now I’m busy getting ready for my annual ghost town camping trip.

Nice Ray. Sure looks a lot different from the air, than when I visited you several years ago. Now I also have obtained a done but not as fancy as yours but I have been playing taking videos and I can also take stills. Mine takes a little more practice to learn to fly but I’m getting there. Hope to see more of yours with the train running. Later RJD
